Bio

Brenda Barr is the founder of the Family Law Group. She received a BA in Psychology and a Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University. She then worked as a social worker for Child and Family Services of Waterloo Region as well as for the Children’s Aid Society of London and Middlesex. She obtained her law degree from Western in 1991.

In private practice since her call to the bar in 1993, Brenda's decision to pursue a career in family law arose during her work with clients at the two agencies she worked for prior to and during law school. Since then she has focused on finding resolutions to family law issues, whether child-related or financial-based, in a manner that is fair, equitable, and respects legal principles as well as the individual needs of parties and their children.

A London native, Brenda has a deep connection with the community where she and her family reside and is proud to offer the unique services of a client-focused boutique family law firm.
